Rates
Our fee for the initial appointment is $150.00
Individual counseling sessions are $90.00 for 45 minutes.
Family and couples counseling sessions are $120.00 for 60 minutes.
Group Counseling sessions are $45.00-$60.00.
Payment is due at the time of service.
If you choose to file out of network for insurance benefits I will provide you with a receipt with all of the information that you need to file a claim for reimbursement.
Insurance
WHY WE RECOMMEND PRIVATE PAY FOR COUNSELING SERVICES

Insurance companies require that I submit a diagnosis of mental illness or substance use in order to justify billing for therapy sessions. This diagnosis will become part of your permanent medical record and could result in denial of future coverage or higher premiums. Most people come to therapy to address temporary life problems, and I find that it is not in your best interest to have a mental health or substance use disorder diagnosis on your permanent medical record.

Your right to privacy and confidentiality of all information disclosed in counseling sessions is of utmost importance. Insurance companies have a right to request and inspect copies of all documentation related to your treatment, and may deny claims that they deem “not medically necessary”.

Insurance companies dictate how many counseling sessions you are allowed based on your diagnosis and treatment progress. I believe that clients should be in control of their treatment plan and how long they choose to participate in therapy.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE INSURANCE WE WILL HELP YOU FILE AN OUT OF NETWORK CLAIM.
Payment
We accept payment in cash, checks, and most major credit cards. There is a $35.00 fee for any returned checks.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. I require that a credit card be kept on file with authorization to charge $50.00 for any appointment cancelled without 24 hours notice.
